In the event that only the outdoor pool is open, we will move and open the indoor pool.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Lightning<\/strong>:&nbsp; If lightning is visibly seen, both the indoor and outdoor pools will be closed for 30 minutes from the last lightning that is seen.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>For any questions regarding weather, please feel free to call the Campus Recreation Equipment desk for updates at (615) 898-5157.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:26px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Aquatic Facilities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Indoor Pool<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The indoor pool is 33 meters x 25 yards (108 feet x 75 feet) and more than 8,000 square feet! Pool depth ranges from 3.5 feet to 13 feet with approximately 425,000 gallons of water for you to enjoy. An accessibility ramp, step entrance, and 90-foot water slide are at the shallow end. At the deep end, there is a one-meter diving board.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mtsu.edu\/camprec\/hours\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"23\">Check the schedule posted at the pool and online.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Open Swim.&nbsp;<\/strong>The pool is open for water activity of choice, depending on available space in the pool area.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Guidelines for areas of the pool open:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-compact-list\">\n<li>1 lifeguard on duty&nbsp;&nbsp; = 1\/3 of pool open<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 lifeguards on duty = 2\/3 of pool open<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3 lifeguards on duty = All of pool open<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Lap Swimming:&nbsp;<\/strong>Check the posted pool schedule at the pool and online. Training equipment such as kickboards, pull buoys, hand paddles, bar buoys, and buoy belts are available for use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Outdoor Pool<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The outdoor pool has five fountains and measures 25 yards x 50 feet with a 0\u20135 foot depth. The zero-level entry makes the pool accessible to everyone.&nbsp; The pool is usually open May through Labor Day.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mtsu.edu\/camprec\/hours\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"23\">Check the schedule posted at the pool and online.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sundeck and Volleyball Courts<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Adjacent to the outdoor pool is a beautiful sundeck. Three outdoor lawn volleyball courts are available.
