We also have an instructor certified in the Swim Whisperers Program Leve1 with Swim Angelfish, an adaptive aquatics training organization. Students progress through the levels at their own pace, mastering the skills in one level before advancing to the next. Group sizes are based on the class level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We also offer swim clinics that are one-time classes that focus on one specific topic. This class is fun filled and helps introduce water safety concepts, encouraging healthy recreational habits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Preschool Aquatics (PRE):&nbsp;<\/strong>For 3- to 5-year-olds&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Level 1:<\/strong>&nbsp;Introduces basic water skills which children progress through levels 2 and 3. This level is a good starting point for kids who are fearful of the water. &nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Level 2:<\/strong>&nbsp;Further develops basic water skills. Children will perform the skills from level 1 but a further distance. This is when kids start to first try some skills independently. This level is for kids who can\u2019t swim but are not fearful of the water. &nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Level 3:<\/strong>&nbsp;Increase the child\u2019s proficiency in the previously learned skills by increasing the distance and time skills are performed. This level\u2019s goal is to perform all skills independently. &nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Please note that all these classes happen at the same time so we can easily sort kids into the right group on the first day.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Learn-to-Swim (LTS):<\/strong>&nbsp;For 6-year-olds to teens&nbsp;<br>Designed to help participants achieve maximum success, Learn-to-Swim courses are based on a logical, six-level progression that helps swimmers of varying ages and abilities develop their water safety, survival, and swim skills.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Level 1: Introduction to Water Skills.&nbsp;<\/strong>Helps participants feel comfortable in the water and includes skills such as entry\/exit, floating, supported gliding, and basic water safety rules.&nbsp;The goal is for&nbsp;your child to&nbsp;be comfortable going underwater and swimming a short distance&nbsp;on&nbsp;their stomach.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Level 2: Fundamental Aquatic Skills.&nbsp;<\/strong>Participants continue to build&nbsp;basic&nbsp;skills including breath-holding, retrieving objects, swimming longer distances,&nbsp;front and back floating without&nbsp;support, and personal safety and rescue skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Level 3: Stroke Development.&nbsp;<\/strong>Builds on skills in Level 2 and includes deep-water skills, diving from a kneeling position, building endurance,&nbsp;treading water, and flutter and dolphin kicks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Level 4: Stroke Improvement.&nbsp;<\/strong>Focuses on improving&nbsp;the different swimming&nbsp;strokes.&nbsp;&nbsp;Builds&nbsp;other water&nbsp;skills such as swimming underwater, treading water&nbsp;for&nbsp;longer periods of time&nbsp;and diving. This class will help prepare participants for a swim team&nbsp;or our Swim Express Camp.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Level 5: Stroke Refinement.&nbsp;<\/strong>Provides further coordination and refinement of strokes. Includes skills such as sculling, stride jump entry, tuck and pike surface dives, and front and back flip turns while swimming. This class is a great way for competitive swimmers to refine their strokes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Adult Swim:<\/strong>&nbsp;For teens to adults<br>The American Red Cross Adult Swim Program is intended for teens and adults who wish to improve their aquatic knowledge and skills. This class has a wide skill range. The instructor will group participants by level and then float between everyone giving practice and feedback. Click this. You will see another box pop up to sign in.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>MTSU Fac\/staff or students<\/strong>&nbsp;sign in by pressing the top button that says Press this button even if you don&#8217;t currently have an MTSU Campus Recreation account. After pressing you will need to create an account.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For those who have or have had Campus Rec memberships, log-in using your email or username.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All others will need to create an account for yourself.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Once you&#8217;ve created a profile for yourself, you will then<\/strong><strong>&#8220;Add Family Members&#8221; to your account<\/strong>.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To do this, click on your account in the upper right-hand corner and then select &#8220;profile&#8221;.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scroll to the bottom of the profile to where it says &#8220;Add Family Member&#8221;.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add Family member(s) and save.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Now, when you register for a program, you will be asked which family member you are registering.
