Canvas supports different types of integrations with external resources using IMS LTI standards. These third-party tools can provide an enhanced user experience by allowing instructors to link to appropriate information for the students, such as publisher content, research resources, simulations, assignments, etc. There are also tools to help faculty build content, collaboration, and more.

Most integrations are currently active, but some will remain unavailable until the full transition to Canvas is complete. This is because certain tools cannot operate simultaneously across two platforms.

Who provides support for these integrations?

For support with third-party integrations, your best resource is typically the company or vendor that provides the tool. While MTSU may offer centralized assistance in certain cases, most issues are best addressed directly with the vendor first.

Don’t see an integration listed? We would be happy to guide you through the process of requesting a new integration. Email us at canvas@mtsu.edu.
