If you need to keep any student data, you can download and archive the information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-mtsu-blocks-expandable-block accordion expandable-group expandable-group-faq\" id=\"newExpandable\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-mtsu-blocks-expandable-item accordion-item expandable-heading expandable-heading-faq\"><h2 class=\"accordion-header\" id=\"headinggrades\"><button class=\"accordion-button collapsed\" type=\"button\" data-bs-toggle=\"collapse\" data-bs-target=\"#collapsenewExpandablegrades\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"collapsenewExpandablegrades\">Grades<\/button><\/h2><div id=\"collapsenewExpandablegrades\" class=\"accordion-collapse collapse expandable-content expandable-content-faq\" aria-labelledby=\"headinggrades\" data-bs-parent=\"#newExpandable\"><div class=\"accordion-body\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-compact-list\">\n<li>Go to <strong>Grades <\/strong>&#8211; Select the <strong>Export button<\/strong> at the top of the page.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the following options for export\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>By default, it will download <strong>All Users<\/strong>. \n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you have Groups or Sections set up in the course, you will have a drop-down available at the top called <strong>Export Grade Items For<\/strong>, and it may have <em>Sections <\/em>and\/or <em>Groups <\/em>listed. If you decide to choose one of these, select the <strong>Apply <\/strong>button once it is selected.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose <strong>Both <\/strong>for the <em>Key Field<\/em> option\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Both option includes the student&#8217;s Username and M#, which is the Org Defined ID.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select either <strong>Points <\/strong>and\/or <strong>Grade Scheme<\/strong> (Weighted\/Percentage) for the <em>Grade Values<\/em> option.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the <strong>Last Name<\/strong>, <strong>First Name<\/strong>, and <strong>Email <\/strong>from the <em>User Details<\/em> options. \n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A <em>Section Membership<\/em> or <em>Group Membership<\/em> checkbox may be available if you have sections or groups set up in the course.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select all Grade items to export by selecting the checkbox at the top of the list.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose <strong>Export to CSV<\/strong> or <strong>Export to Excel<\/strong> at the bottom of the export page to begin the export process. <em>Either of these files will open in a spreadsheet program.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the <strong>Download<\/strong> button in the pop-up window that appears when the file is ready.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-mtsu-blocks-expandable-item accordion-item expandable-heading expandable-heading-faq\"><h2 class=\"accordion-header\" id=\"headingassignment-submissions-dropbox\"><button class=\"accordion-button collapsed\" type=\"button\" data-bs-toggle=\"collapse\" data-bs-target=\"#collapsenewExpandableassignment-submissions-dropbox\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"collapsenewExpandableassignment-submissions-dropbox\">Assignment Submissions (Dropbox)<\/button><\/h2><div id=\"collapsenewExpandableassignment-submissions-dropbox\" class=\"accordion-collapse collapse expandable-content expandable-content-faq\" aria-labelledby=\"headingassignment-submissions-dropbox\" data-bs-parent=\"#newExpandable\"><div class=\"accordion-body\">\n<p>The Assignment tool doesn&#8217;t have a way to bulk export all assignment submissions at once. You can go into each assignment and download all submissions for that assignment using the following steps. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-compact-list\">\n<li>Select the <strong>Assignment<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the top checkbox, next to the Learner column header, to select all students.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose the <strong>Download <\/strong>option at the top of the list of submissions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A zip file will be created. Choose the <strong>Download<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-mtsu-blocks-expandable-item accordion-item expandable-heading expandable-heading-faq\"><h2 class=\"accordion-header\" id=\"headingquiz-attempts\"><button class=\"accordion-button collapsed\" type=\"button\" data-bs-toggle=\"collapse\" data-bs-target=\"#collapsenewExpandablequiz-attempts\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"collapsenewExpandablequiz-attempts\">Quiz Attempts<\/button><\/h2><div id=\"collapsenewExpandablequiz-attempts\" class=\"accordion-collapse collapse expandable-content expandable-content-faq\" aria-labelledby=\"headingquiz-attempts\" data-bs-parent=\"#newExpandable\"><div class=\"accordion-body\">\n<p>Depending on the information you would like to export, there are different options to choose from in the Quiz Reports area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Create Quiz Reports<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-compact-list\">\n<li>Go to the <strong>Quiz <\/strong>tool.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the arrow to the right of the Quiz<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <a href=\"https:\/\/community.d2l.com\/brightspace\/kb\/articles\/3413-create-and-configure-a-quiz#set-up-a-quiz-report\"><strong>Setup Reports<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose the appropriate report you would like to create by choosing the options.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Question Statistics<\/strong> &#8211; The average score on questions by points and percentage.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-default\">\n<li><strong>Question Details<\/strong> &#8211; All of the answers provided for each quiz attempt, how many users chose each possible answer, the total number of responses, and the average score on each question.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>User Statistics<\/strong> &#8211; The class average and standard deviation, grade distribution, and the grade of each user.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Attempt Details<\/strong> &#8211; Detailed information about each question. The users\u2019 responses for each question organized by attempt, including how long each attempt took.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>User Attempts<\/strong> &#8211; The users\u2019 score for each question in points and percentage organized by attempt, including how long each attempt took.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <strong>Instructor-Banner<\/strong> under the <em>Release Report To<\/em> area<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>View Quiz Reports<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Go to the <strong>Quiz <\/strong>tool.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the arrow to the right of the Quiz<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <strong>View Reports<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the report you would like to view.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the <strong>Generate CSV<\/strong> button or the <strong>Generate Excel <\/strong>button to start the export process.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you choose the <strong>Generate HTML<\/strong> button, it will present the information in the browser window, and you still have the option to <em>Export to CSV<\/em>, <em>Export to Excel<\/em>, or <em>Print<\/em>. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once the export is ready, you will receive a notification under the Updates icon (looks like a bell) at the top of the page by your account name. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once the report is available, you can select the <strong>Click here to download the export file<\/strong> link.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-mtsu-blocks-expandable-item accordion-item expandable-heading expandable-heading-faq\"><h2 class=\"accordion-header\" id=\"headingdiscussions\"><button class=\"accordion-button collapsed\" type=\"button\" data-bs-toggle=\"collapse\" data-bs-target=\"#collapsenewExpandablediscussions\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"collapsenewExpandablediscussions\">Discussions<\/button><\/h2><div id=\"collapsenewExpandablediscussions\" class=\"accordion-collapse collapse expandable-content expandable-content-faq\" aria-labelledby=\"headingdiscussions\" data-bs-parent=\"#newExpandable\"><div class=\"accordion-body\">\n<p>The Discussion tool does not have an export option. However, you can pull the information by following the steps below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-compact-list\">\n<li>Go to <strong>Discussions<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to the <strong>Settings <\/strong>options in the upper right corner of the Discussion list.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the <strong>Grid View<\/strong> under the <em>Default View<\/em> area, click <strong>Save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the Topic you want to export\/print.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To select all the posts for the topic, select the top checkbox at the top left of the list of discussion posts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose the <strong>Print <\/strong>option just above the discussion post list.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Print <\/strong>and choose <strong>Save as PDF<\/strong> in the <em>Destination<\/em> field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Save<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-mtsu-blocks-expandable-item accordion-item expandable-heading expandable-heading-faq\"><h2 class=\"accordion-header\" id=\"headingsurveys\"><button class=\"accordion-button collapsed\" type=\"button\" data-bs-toggle=\"collapse\" data-bs-target=\"#collapsenewExpandablesurveys\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"collapsenewExpandablesurveys\">Surveys<\/button><\/h2><div id=\"collapsenewExpandablesurveys\" class=\"accordion-collapse collapse expandable-content expandable-content-faq\" aria-labelledby=\"headingsurveys\" data-bs-parent=\"#newExpandable\"><div class=\"accordion-body\">\n<p>The Surveys work similarly to the Quiz tool. You will need to set up a report in the edit area of the Survey to get the information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Create Survey Reports<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-compact-list\">\n<li>Go to the <strong>Survey <\/strong>tool<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the arrow to the right of the survey and choose <strong>Edit<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to the <strong>Reports Setup<\/strong> tab<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the <strong>Add Report<\/strong> button<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter a <strong>Report Name<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select from the available <em>Report Types<\/em>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Summary Report<\/strong> &#8211; displays aggregate data for multiple choice, true and false, Likert, multi-select, and matching question types. You can also display text responses for written response, short answer, and fill-in-the-blank question types.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Individual Attempts<\/strong> &#8211; displays each attempt individually.
