{"id":60,"date":"2024-09-05T18:08:56","date_gmt":"2024-09-05T18:08:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mtsu.edu\/mtengage\/?page_id=60"},"modified":"2026-04-21T18:52:04","modified_gmt":"2026-04-21T18:52:04","slug":"scholarship","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.mtsu.edu\/engage\/scholarship\/","title":{"rendered":"Engage Scholarship"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Scholarship Deadline &#8211; February 15, 2026<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"ratio ratio-16x9\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Engage Scholarship 2026\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/vuK1S2Ok6rM?feature=oembed&#038;enablejsapi=1&#038;origin=https:\/\/www.mtsu.edu\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Scholarship Awards<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We are pleased to announce that we will award:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-compact-list\">\n<li>One $2000 prize<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Four $1000 prizes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Up to five $500 prizes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Priority Registration<\/span> for all applicants until graduation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Scholarship Requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To apply for the Engage scholarship you must:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-compact-list\">\n<li>Have successfully completed&nbsp;<strong>one<\/strong>&nbsp;or more Engage course sections or be currently enrolled in an Engage course<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have&nbsp;attended&nbsp;<strong>one<\/strong>&nbsp;approved ePortfolio training or workshop (in-class training sessions apply)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have&nbsp;a minimum overall GPA of&nbsp;<strong>2.75<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have completed your&nbsp;<strong>60th hour<\/strong>&nbsp;in Fall 2025 or are completing your 60th hour in Spring 2026<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have fewer than 30 transfer hours (excluding AP, military, and\/or dual enrollment credits)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be&nbsp;currently enrolled as a student at MTSU with good academic standing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">To Apply:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list is-style-compact-list\">\n<li>Complete an ePortfolio training session (see below for more information)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Create a short Sway ePortfolio presentation following the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/sway.cloud.microsoft\/TB8a9OxRcbJy31qB?ref=Link\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/sway.cloud.microsoft\/TB8a9OxRcbJy31qB?ref=Link\">Engage template&nbsp;<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete the MTSU general application then select Engage<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Paste your presentation link into the application and submit<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-content-justification-center is-layout-flex wp-container-core-buttons-is-layout-a89b3969 wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-mtsublue-background-color has-background wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mtsu.edu\/scholarships\/opportunities\" style=\"border-radius:5px\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Apply here!<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">ePortfolio Presentation Procedures<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The ePortfolio presentation must follow the guidelines as stated in the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/sway.cloud.microsoft\/TB8a9OxRcbJy31qB?ref=Link\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/sway.cloud.microsoft\/TB8a9OxRcbJy31qB?ref=Link\">Engage ePortfolio template<\/a>. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-compact-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mtsu.edu\/engage\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/62\/2025\/05\/ScholarshipTemplate_S2026.pdf\">Print a copy of the instructions&nbsp;<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Training and Workshops<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Students must complete one approved training session or attend one workshop prior to applying for the scholarship. You can select from the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Special Scholarship Training Sessions<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Drop in any time during one of our special open sessions for a brief overview of the Engage scholarship. You will learn how to use Sway, work with our peer tutor to strengthen your reflective writing skills, or get some pointers on how to create a winning ePortfolio application. Scoring<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>ePortfolio presentations will be assessed&nbsp;according to the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mtsu.edu\/engage\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/62\/2024\/09\/ePortfolio_Rubric.pdf\" data-type=\"attachment\" data-id=\"66\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Engage ePortfolio Rubric for Evaluating Integrative Thinking and Reflection<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ePortfolio submissions will be scored by at least two members of the MTSU faculty and staff excluding Engage staff. &nbsp;Scores will be given in each of six measurable areas on a scale of 0-4 using half points
