Come see us!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-mtsu-blocks-expandable-block accordion expandable-group expandable-group-lightblock\" id=\"newExpandable\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-mtsu-blocks-expandable-item accordion-item expandable-heading expandable-heading-lightblock\"><h2 class=\"accordion-header\" id=\"headingthe-start-of-the-pantry\"><button class=\"accordion-button collapsed\" type=\"button\" data-bs-toggle=\"collapse\" data-bs-target=\"#collapsenewExpandablethe-start-of-the-pantry\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"collapsenewExpandablethe-start-of-the-pantry\">The Start of the Pantry<\/button><\/h2><div id=\"collapsenewExpandablethe-start-of-the-pantry\" class=\"accordion-collapse collapse expandable-content expandable-content-lightblock\" aria-labelledby=\"headingthe-start-of-the-pantry\" data-bs-parent=\"#newExpandable\"><div class=\"accordion-body\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Fall 2012, One Stop and the&nbsp;Student Government Association (SGA) started a student food pantry&nbsp;for MTSU students who were unsure where their next meal was going to come from. Due to an increasing number of hungry college students, it was important to address this need on our campus. As the need continues, we hope that we are able to address the needs of our student body through the food pantry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MTSU joined the College and University Food Bank Alliance (CUFBA) in March 2017, which joins institutions with established food pantries or ones looking to start a food pantry. The items for our food pantry are stocked from food drives, individual and group donations, as well as monetary donations. The MTSU Student Food Pantry, now called Lightning Stop, has grown tremendously over the years and with the increased growth and demand we have been able to serve students from a variety of circumstances and backgrounds.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-mtsu-blocks-expandable-item accordion-item expandable-heading expandable-heading-lightblock\"><h2 class=\"accordion-header\" id=\"headingknow-a-student-who-is-hungry\"><button class=\"accordion-button collapsed\" type=\"button\" data-bs-toggle=\"collapse\" data-bs-target=\"#collapsenewExpandableknow-a-student-who-is-hungry\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"collapsenewExpandableknow-a-student-who-is-hungry\">Know a Student Who is Hungry?<\/button><\/h2><div id=\"collapsenewExpandableknow-a-student-who-is-hungry\" class=\"accordion-collapse collapse expandable-content expandable-content-lightblock\" aria-labelledby=\"headingknow-a-student-who-is-hungry\" data-bs-parent=\"#newExpandable\"><div class=\"accordion-body\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you know a current MTSU student who is hungry and\/or in between meals, please send them to the One Stop. Our coordinators will gladly assess the student\u2019s need and help them find items from the pantry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In conjunction with the food pantry, we are able to assist students that may have more long-term needs through our relationships with community partners. Often we are able to direct students to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.h3arc.org\/\">www.h3arc.com<\/a>&nbsp;for community resources when we are not able to address their needs with on-campus resources. Please help us stock the food pantry with some of the items listed below to help feed MTSU students! All donations can be brought to the One Stop, located in the Student Services and Admissions Center, Room 210. The One Stop is open Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm. We encourage student groups, offices, residence halls, etc. to get together and collect items to donate. You can also donate online using the link in the top navigation panel.&nbsp;<strong>Please be mindful of expiration dates and packaging as we cannot hand out expired or open food<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-mtsu-blocks-expandable-item accordion-item expandable-heading expandable-heading-lightblock\"><h2 class=\"accordion-header\" id=\"headingwhat-items-are-currently-needed\"><button class=\"accordion-button collapsed\" type=\"button\" data-bs-toggle=\"collapse\" data-bs-target=\"#collapsenewExpandablewhat-items-are-currently-needed\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"collapsenewExpandablewhat-items-are-currently-needed\">What Items are Currently Needed<\/button><\/h2><div id=\"collapsenewExpandablewhat-items-are-currently-needed\" class=\"accordion-collapse collapse expandable-content expandable-content-lightblock\" aria-labelledby=\"headingwhat-items-are-currently-needed\" data-bs-parent=\"#newExpandable\"><div class=\"accordion-body\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We will keep this site updated to reflect needs. As we run low on a particular item, we will highlight them, but will gladly accept donations outside of the current &#8220;high need&#8221;.&nbsp;We will also include which items we currently have well&nbsp;stocked.
