All diploma name changes for May 2026 expected graduates must be submitted by Friday, March 13, 2026. <\/strong>Diploma reprints due to a name change after the posted deadline are $30 per diploma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you do not check your diploma name and submit the name change form if needed, <strong>you will not be allowed to change your name as it is listed on your name card at the graduation ceremony. The name on the card is how it will be read as you cross the stage and on the name banner shown on screen when you cross the stage<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You do NOT have to submit legal documentation if you are simply changing an existing middle name to an initial, removing a middle or maiden name from your diploma name or updating your diploma name based on an official name change completed after submission of your Intent to Graduate. For this type of diploma name change, you can email <a href=\"mailto:records@mtsu.edu\"><strong>records@mtsu.edu<\/strong><\/a>from your MTSU issued email.&nbsp; Please include your M number.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>If you need to change your diploma name<\/strong> (for example, add a middle name, change a last name, etc.), you must submit a <a href=\"https:\/\/itdwebapps.mtsu.edu\/DFPassThrough\/DFCasAuth?TargetResource=https%3a%2f%2fdynamicforms.ngwebsolutions.com%2fSubmit%2fStart%2f0e8c221b-a911-4baa-8a06-048bffca4ea8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>name change form<\/strong><\/a> (you will log into your PipelineMT account to go to the form) and the required documentation.&nbsp; Required documentation that will be accepted for a name change includes <strong>valid state issued driver\u2019s license, state-issued identification card, passport or permanent resident card.<\/strong>&nbsp; The purpose of the dynamic Name Change form is to allow for secure submission of documents for an official university name change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>IMPORTANT:<\/strong>&nbsp; After you receive the confirmation email that your MTSU system name has been changed, you must then email <a href=\"mailto:records@mtsu.edu\"><strong>records@mtsu.edu<\/strong><\/a> <strong>and indicate a diploma name change is also requested.&nbsp; Submitting the Name Change form does not automatically update the diploma name.&nbsp; <\/strong>You may also choose to go in person to the MT OneStop to complete a paper name change form with the accepted documentation as listed above.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are an International Student only International Affairs or the College of Graduate Studies may change your system name. <strong>If International Affairs or the College of Graduate Studies makes a change to your system name you must then notify <\/strong><a href=\"mailto:records@mtsu.edu\"><strong>records@mtsu.edu<\/strong><\/a><strong> to update your diploma name<\/strong><strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-mtsu-blocks-expandable-item accordion-item expandable-heading expandable-heading-faq\"><h2 class=\"accordion-header\" id=\"headingdiploma-mailing-address\"><button class=\"accordion-button collapsed\" type=\"button\" data-bs-toggle=\"collapse\" data-bs-target=\"#collapseRequiredGradPaperworkdiploma-mailing-address\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"collapseRequiredGradPaperworkdiploma-mailing-address\">Diploma Mailing Address<\/button><\/h2><div id=\"collapseRequiredGradPaperworkdiploma-mailing-address\" class=\"accordion-collapse collapse expandable-content expandable-content-faq\" aria-labelledby=\"headingdiploma-mailing-address\" data-bs-parent=\"#RequiredGradPaperwork\"><div class=\"accordion-body\">\n<p>Your diploma address is the address listed on your Intent to Graduate form. As you may have moved since submitting your intent or plan to move after graduation you are responsible for verifying your diploma address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A diploma mailing address change<\/strong> <strong>can only be made by emailing <a href=\"mailto:records@mtsu.edu\">records@mtsu.edu<\/a><\/strong> from your MTSU email indicating <strong>\u201cdiploma\u201d<\/strong> address. You must include your M#. <strong>All diploma mailing address changes must be submitted by Friday, May 8, 2026. <\/strong>There will be a $30.00 charge to re-issue your diploma if the diploma address was not updated by the deadline and subsequently mailed to an invalid address.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Submitting an address change through your PipelineMT account or completing a change of address form will <strong>NOT<\/strong> change the address to which your diploma will be mailed.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-mtsu-blocks-expandable-item accordion-item expandable-heading expandable-heading-faq\"><h2 class=\"accordion-header\" id=\"headinginternational-mailing-address-eshipglobal\"><button class=\"accordion-button collapsed\" type=\"button\" data-bs-toggle=\"collapse\" data-bs-target=\"#collapseRequiredGradPaperworkinternational-mailing-address-eshipglobal\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"collapseRequiredGradPaperworkinternational-mailing-address-eshipglobal\">International Mailing Address (eShipGlobal)<\/button><\/h2><div id=\"collapseRequiredGradPaperworkinternational-mailing-address-eshipglobal\" class=\"accordion-collapse collapse expandable-content expandable-content-faq\" aria-labelledby=\"headinginternational-mailing-address-eshipglobal\" data-bs-parent=\"#RequiredGradPaperwork\"><div class=\"accordion-body\">\n<p>Diplomas will be mailed several weeks after degrees are approved and posted. There is no option to pick-up a diploma in person.<em> All financial obligations to the university (tuition, parking tickets, telephone charges, etc.) must be paid before a diploma will be released.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>If you are mailing your diploma to an international address, you will need to use eShipGlobal for delivery.\u00a0 eShipGlobal will verify your delivery address is valid, allow your diploma can be tracked and appropriately delivered.<\/strong> \u00a0If you need to update your DIPLOMA MAILING ADDRESS to a U.S. address please email the new address to <a href=\"mailto:records@mtsu.edu\">records@mtsu.edu<\/a> no later than Friday, May 1, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Transcripts for verified graduates will be available Thursday, May 14, 2026.
