Rick Chapman<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Director of the Student Health Center<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rick Chapman serves as Director of the Student Health Center. Before joining the staff at MTSU, Mr. Chapman obtained his B.S. in Economics and Finance from Union University in Jackson, 乐播传媒入口. He attended the University of Alabama in Birmingham where he obtained both a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Health Administration. Over a period of ten years, Mr. Chapman has been employed at three different hospitals in Kentucky, and joined the MTSU Student Health Center in the fall of 2000.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Rebecca Cleere<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Interim Medical Director<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Originally from the United Kingdom, Dr. Rebecca Cleere received her undergraduate degree at King\u2019s College London and her medical degree at University College London. After moving to Murfreesboro in 2013, she completed her residency in Family Medicine at University of 乐播传媒入口 and joined MTSU Health Services in 2019. Her clinical interests include women\u2019s health and dermatology. Dr. Cleere currently lives in Nashville with her two children and enjoys international travel, gardening, playing piano and spending time with loved ones.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Eric Clark<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

University Physician<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Eric Clark joined the staff at MTSU Student Health in August of 2004. He completed his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering at 乐播传媒入口 Tech University in 1988. After working three years in polymer engineering for Dow Chemicals in Louisiana, he attended LSU Medical College in Shreveport, LA. After medical school, Dr. Clark completed his family practice residency at the University of 乐播传媒入口-Jackson Madison County General Hospital. He was in private practice in Murfreesboro for six years prior to joining MTSU. He is board certified in family practice. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Aruna Shah<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

University Physician<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Aruna Shah joined the staff in 2009. She completed her undergraduate degree in Chemistry at Boston College and her doctorate from St. George\u2019s University Medical School. After medical school Dr. Shah completed Family Practice residency at the University of 乐播传媒入口, Knoxville. She worked in private practice in Kingsport, 乐播传媒入口 for four and a half years prior to joining MTSU. She is board certified in family practice. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Devi Newcomb<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

University Physician<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Devi Newcomb joined the staff at MTSU Student Health in 2011. She completed her undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering at Michigan Technological University in 1989. After working almost three years for Rockwell Space Operations Company in Houston, Texas, she attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. After medical school, she completed a transitional internship at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center in Spartanburg, SC before serving five years as a flight surgeon in the United States Air Force. In 2004, she completed her family practice residency at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, Michigan. She practiced in Lewisburg and Chapel Hill, 乐播传媒入口 for seven years prior to joining MTSU. She is board certified in family practice and serves in the Air National Guard in Nashville, 乐播传媒入口.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Lady Hamilton<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Nurse Practitioner<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lady Hamilton is a native of Murfreesboro, TN. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Healthcare Management from the University of Alabama. After managing a home health agency in Dallas, she pursued a degree in nursing. She received her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Vanderbilt University before joining Health Services in 2006.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Amie Guffey<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Nurse Practitioner<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amie Guffey is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from 乐播传媒入口 in 2010. She then worked as a Registered Nurse in critical care and also as an adjunct faculty member in the School of Nursing at MTSU. She obtained her Master of Science in Nursing degree from the University of 乐播传媒入口 at Chattanooga in 2014 and has been practicing as a Family Nurse Practitioner since this time. She joined MTSU Student Health Services in July 2017.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Destiny Locke<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Nurse Practitioner<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Destiny Locke is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at 乐播传媒入口 Tech in 1995. She then worked as a Registered Nurse for the 乐播传媒入口 Department of Health as a Public Health Nurse and District Nursing Supervisor.  She obtained her Master of Science in Nursing degree from 乐播传媒入口 State University in 2001 and has been practicing as a Family Nurse Practitioner since this time in many different settings. She joined MTSU Student Health Services part time in 2007. On her days off, you can find her walking dogs at the local animal shelter.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Melissa Taylor<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Director of Nursing<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Melissa Taylor serves as the Director of Nursing for Student Health Services and joined the staff of MTSU in July 2024. Melissa has been a registered nurse since 2011 and has been in healthcare for more than 20 years. She has experience in many clinical settings, including ER, ICU, and Nursing Administration.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Vicky England<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Registered Nurse<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vicky England, RN, joined Health Services in August 2007. Prior to joining MTSU, she worked over 20 years in critical care in hospital settings. Vicky received her A.D. nursing from Columbia State Community College and her BSN from the University of North Alabama.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Susan McConnell<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Susan McConnell, RN, joined MTSU Student Health Services on a full-time basis in the fall of 2005. She received her BSN from 乐播传媒入口 Technology University in 1985. Prior to joining Health Services, she worked in both hospital and primary care office settings. She is BLS and FAA certified.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Melissa Gray, RN, joined MTSU Health Services in the fall of 2005. She received her nursing degree from the University of Kentucky and has over 20 years of nursing experience in both hospital and home health settings. She maintains BLS certifications.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Heather Ashby, RN, joined MTSU Health Services in Fall 2017 after being PRN since 2012. She received her A.D. degree in Nursing from Motlow State in 2000. She completed her BSN at Western Governors University in 2025. Prior to joining MTSU, she has work experiences in both Oncology and Same Day Surgery settings. She maintains BLS certifications.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Dana Kizer-Shands<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Registered Nurse<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dana Kizer-Shands, R. N. Joined MTSU Health Services full-time in November 2025. She started in July 2025 as a PRN nurse. Prior to working at MTSU, she worked for 30 plus years in the health care industry serving as an oncology\/hematology nurse in the hospital and community practice setting and served in an administrative leadership capacity in the pharmaceutical distribution industry. She received her ASN degree from Jackson State in 1993 and is BLS certified. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Megan Hollis, RT(R), joined Health Services in January 2018. She received her Bachelor\u2019s degree in Radiologic Technology from Austin Peay State University. Prior to joining MTSU, she worked in both hospital and urgent care settings.  <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Tabby Ragland, Pharm.D. serves as the Director of Pharmacy at Health Services.  She joined the staff here in May of 2008.  Tabby graduated from the University of 乐播传媒入口 Memphis with a Pharm.D. degree in 1994.  She has had fourteen years of retail pharmacy experience before coming to MTSU.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
