The MTSU Board of Trustees will hold the Academic Affairs, Student Life, and Athletics Committee, the Audit and Compliance Committee, and the Finance and Personnel Committee Meetings on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, in the Miller Education Center (MEC). About the Board

The Board of Trustees is the governing body of 乐播传媒入口 and is responsible for selecting and appointing the president; setting the operating budget; approving personnel appointments; granting all degrees awarded by the University, including honorary degrees; establishing tuition and fee rates; approving contracts; and approving all rules, regulations, curriculum changes, new programs and degrees of the University. 

The Board consists of 12 members, 6 of whom are appointed by the governor, by and with consent of the 乐播传媒入口 General Assembly, and both the Speaker of the 乐播传媒入口 House of Representatives and the Lieutenant Governor (who is Speaker of the 乐播传媒入口 Senate) appoint 2 each. In addition, the聽Faculty Senate聽elects a faculty member to serve a two-year term, and the聽聽presents three students to the University President for review, and he will recommend one of the three to the Board for approval. The student trustee is non-voting and serves a one-year term.聽The Board holds regularly scheduled committee and full meetings four times a year, and additional meetings as needed.聽

The Board of Trustees of 乐播传媒入口 was established pursuant to 2016鈥檚 FOCUS Act (2016 Tenn. Pub. Acts, ch. 869)
