Greetings, Faculty Colleagues –
I hope that the semester is winding down smoothly, and I hope to see many of you at commencement this weekend.
Our Canvas implementation is quickly accelerating, and I鈥檓 sending along one final set of updates for 2025.
- About 225 early adopter courses are live in Canvas for Spring 2026, so special thanks to those of you getting a head start on our LMS transition. For everyone else, all MTSU courses will be in Canvas starting in聽Summer 2026.
- I strongly encourage you to dive into Canvas workshops, navigation, resources, and courses available through the聽Canvas project website, specifically the聽faculty resources page.聽While Canvas is increasingly intuitive with consistent use, do not underestimate the learning curve involved for many of us.聽In聽short, some dedicated time daily or weekly will go a long way.聽The Center for Teaching & Mentoring has already hosted and archived a range of聽, with much more coming in Spring 2026.
- Finally, you can find details regarding Canvas course migration/imports聽. Many of you have asked specifically about how your courses will be impacted for Summer/Fall 2026, and this document provides a great summary.
