See below for the most recent monthly installment of Canvas updates for faculty. It鈥檚 an exciting time as work accelerates in advance of our Summer 2026 go-live.
- The听final听batch of K16 custom course migrations will begin very soon (with听course availability听in mid-April).
- If you have a complex course to suggest for custom migration, please听complete and submit听this听听by Friday, March 6.听Availability is limited, so please听submit听only听complex courses with significant content. Our team will prioritize submissions听and accommodate as many as possible.
- Remember that due to limited resources, custom migration services are not available for all D2L courses. Recent course shells using multiple LMS features, along with MTSU Online courses, will undergo custom migration. Otherwise,听you should听move courses and content using the guidelines in this听pdf听and听.听

- Summer and Fall 2026 course听shells听are now visible in听. These are just shells, without course content, but you听can听import content听anytime.听Pdf听and听听for how to do so are available in the听faculty resources听on the听Canvas website.
- Students cannot access D2L after May 15, 2026, but faculty permissions are active through听December听31, 2026.
听 - CIO Yvette Clark and I听will soon听finalize plans听to archive听past D2L courses, thereby enabling access to D2L course data and submissions past听December 31, 2026. More information to come.
