Piano Pedagogy, Undergraduate Certificate
The certificate in Piano Pedagogy requires 17 to 20 credit hours.
Non-degree seeking students and students pursuing degrees in fields other than music must complete the required courses listed below. In addition, coursework (or demonstrated equivalent competency) in music theory, music history, and piano performance is required. An audition, interview, and placement exam determine whether additional coursework will be required. Competencies are as follows:
- Piano Performance:聽Equal to passing the Upper Division Jury for Music Education/Music Industry (see audition information below)
- Music Theory:聽Equal to passing Music Theory and Aural Skills II ()
- Music History:聽Equal to passing Introduction to Music ()
Following are the maximum number of remedial courses that may be required:

- ,听, or聽聽(lower division, 2-4 credits)
