Attendance Notifications
If you have extenuating circumstances causing an extended absence from class, please alert your instructors immediately. If you are unable to contact them yourself, you can email [email protected] and we will initiate notification for you.
Parents, spouses, PIE partners- you may request we send this on behalf of your student. However, please note- we cannot share information with you about the student’s account unless you are a PIE partner. In the event a withdrawal is needed, only the student can initiate that request/action.
Please be advised- each instructor deems excused/not excused absences for their classes and may ask for documentation. The MT One Stop CANNOT guarantee an absence will be excused. Our email is simply a courtesy notification.
An example of the email we will send on the behalf of the student is below. We will never share specifics of a situation unless the student requests that we share that information.
Attendance Notification
Our office was recently notified that one of your current students, <Student Name, M#>, will be absent for a period of time due to a <medical, personal, etc.> emergency. I鈥檝e copied the student on this chain, as well. They will be in touch with each you when able to return in order to discuss missed assignments and class time.

*Please note- this email is not to require an excused absence. It鈥檚 simply a notification that we have been contacted. It is the responsibility of the student to communicate with instructors regarding classroom policies.
Please do not send any documents or emails with unredacted Personally Identifiable Information (PII), such as Social Security Numbers or credit card numbers, through any means other than the Dropbox, mail, or in person.
