Engage Scholarship

Scholarship Deadline – February 15, 2026

Scholarship Awards

We are pleased to announce that we will award:

• One $2000 prize
• Four $1000 prizes
• Up to five $500 prizes
• Priority Registration for all applicants until graduation

Scholarship Requirements

To apply for the Engage scholarship you must:

• Have successfully completed one or more Engage course sections or be currently enrolled in an Engage course
• Have attended one approved ePortfolio training or workshop (in-class training sessions apply)
• Have a minimum overall GPA of 2.75
• Have completed your 60th hour in Fall 2025 or are completing your 60th hour in Spring 2026
• Have fewer than 30 transfer hours (excluding AP, military, and/or dual enrollment credits)
• Be currently enrolled as a student at MTSU with good academic standing

To Apply:

1. Complete an ePortfolio training session (see below for more information)
2. Create a short Sway ePortfolio presentation following the 
3. Complete the MTSU general application then select Engage
4. Paste your presentation link into the application and submit

ePortfolio Presentation Procedures

The ePortfolio presentation must follow the guidelines as stated in the .

Training and Workshops

Students must complete one approved training session or attend one workshop prior to applying for the scholarship. You can select from the following:

Special Scholarship Training Sessions

• Drop in any time during one of our special open sessions for a brief overview of the Engage scholarship. You will learn how to use Sway, work with our peer tutor to strengthen your reflective writing skills, or get some pointers on how to create a winning ePortfolio application. You must stay at least 15 minutes for credit toward the scholarship requirement.

• Thursday, February 12 | 1-2 pm | JUB 306

For a remote meeting, please schedule an appointment

• for help choosing your artifacts or with your reflective writing
• Already had ePortfolio training in class? You do not need to complete an additional training. Send the name of the instructor and class to [email protected].

Rubric Scoring

ePortfolio presentations will be assessed according to the Engage ePortfolio Rubric for Evaluating Integrative Thinking and Reflection.

ePortfolio submissions will be scored by at least two members of the MTSU faculty and staff excluding Engage staff.  Scores will be given in each of six measurable areas on a scale of 0-4 using half points (0, 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5, 4) for a maximum total score of 24 points.
