The Campus Recreation Fitness & Wellness Program offers a broad span of fitness and wellness programs and services for you to enjoy. We strive to have opportunities for individuals of all fitness backgrounds, experiences, and levels. From individuals who have never been to a gym or done a formal workout, to those who are training to accomplish a personal best or complete tactical training requirements, we are here to provide safe, healthy, science-based information and instruction. Our goal is to create spaces where everyone feels like they belong and can find their own way to move and be healthy.
Join us for a workout in a welcoming setting, guided by a certified instructor.听Classes are open to all abilities and experience levels. Formats include yoga, cycle, Pilates, strength, and more. FREE for MTSU Students (cost covered with Rec Fee). MTSU Faculty/Staff & Other Campus Rec Members can purchase semester or single-class passes available for purchase.
We offer several different training programs and services to fit your individual needs. All programs are designed to work for all fitness levels, and programming can be adapted for most abilities.
- Instructional session | 鈥淗ow-to鈥 session with a trainer
- Form Check | Receive feedback and suggestions from a trainer on specific exercise form
- MyFit | Work with a trainer to develop an independent program custom to your available time, preferred workout location(s), and goals
- Personal Training | Work 1:1 with a Certified Personal Trainer, receiving direct support and guidance
- Group Training | Build a group of 2-4 people and work with a Certified Personal Trainer at a reduced rate
8-week hybrid program for MTSU Freshman, including small group training sessions with trainer guidance, 1:1 nutrition education with the MT Nutrition Team, and information on wellness resources.
The MT Nutrition Team is a collaboration with the . The Team offers a variety of programs and services, and supports events across campus with guidance from NFS Faculty.
We offer educational programs to prepare you to become a Certified Personal Trainer, Fitness Specialist, or Group Fitness Instructor based on nationally accredited certifying fitness organizations and agencies education. Employment opportunities for following these programs are available pending an interview and open positions.
The Fitness and Wellness Staff Members are the faces and foundation of our programs and services offered. Learn more about our Personal Trainers, Fitness Specialists, Group Fitness Instructors, and Nutrition Team members.
Our True Blue Wellness Crew is a wellness committee made up of Faculty and Staff members representing areas across campus. Our Wellness Fair held each Fall brings wellness resources from on- and off-campus for the MTSU Community learn and build connections.
